2. The short version

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools.
Fonts, images and scripts are loaded only from our own server – no external services (CDNs, Google Fonts or similar) are used.
YouTube videos are only loaded after you explicitly agree in the player window.
Links to Twitch, YouTube, X and Discord are plain links; you only leave our website when you click them.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website runs on a server of netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany, in a data centre in Nuremberg. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with netcup.

When you visit the website, the server automatically processes information sent by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, requested address, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, the previously visited page (referrer) and browser and operating system (user agent). This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and is stored in log files for security purposes (e.g. to fend off attacks) and to analyse errors.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. The log files are rotated weekly and automatically deleted after five weeks at the latest. They are not combined with other data.

4. Encryption

The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS).

5. Cookies and local storage

No cookies are set when you visit the website. Only if you tick "Remember my choice on this site" in the YouTube player window does your browser store the entry aikanova.youtubeConsent in its local storage. It contains no personal data, is not transmitted to us and only means you are not asked again for the next video. You can delete it at any time via "Ask again next time" in the player or in your browser settings. The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (a function explicitly requested by the user).

6. YouTube videos

Some pages show music videos from our YouTube channel. At first you only see a preview image stored on our own server – no connection to YouTube is made. Only when you click "Play video" in the player window is the video loaded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google then receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and may store data in your browser. Google may also process data in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), which you give by clicking and can withdraw at any time for the future by not starting further videos or deleting the stored choice. 7. Contact form and e-mail

If you write to us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process the details you provide (name, e-mail address, topic, message) solely to handle your enquiry. The form data is sent to us by e-mail; it is not stored in a database of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Search

The search on this website runs entirely on our server. Your search terms are only processed to display the results; they are not stored together with your IP address and not passed on to third parties.

9. Twitch live indicator

Whether Aika is currently live on Twitch is checked by our server at most once a minute, and the result is displayed. Your browser does not connect to Twitch for this; no data about you is sent to Twitch.

10. Links to social networks

We link to our profiles on Twitch, YouTube, X and Discord. These are plain links without embedded plugins – no data is sent to these services when you visit our website. Only when you click a link do you reach the provider's site, where its own privacy policy applies.

11. Downloads

Downloads (e.g. of our tools) are served from our own server. Only the server log data described in section 3 is processed.

12. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object to it on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). Simply contact us at the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany, www.lfd.niedersachsen.de.

13. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR), takes place.

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
